Edyta Runger-Kafara is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University Medical College – Faculty of Medicine (1999), first degree of specialization in internal medicine (2008), second degree of specialization in endocrinology (2012).

After completing her postgraduate internship, she worked for several years as an assistant and then as a senior assistant in the Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology of the G. Narutowicz Municipal Specialized Hospital in Cracow.
