The fractional CO2 laser is used to rejuvenate the skin, as well as remove scars, discolorations and stretch marks. The effects last for a long time and we can see them after just one treatment at Medical Clinic Podhale Art.

CO2 fractional laser is one of the most modern, technologically advanced devices used in aesthetic medicine and dermatology – with its use we carry out treatments aimed at skin regeneration, firming, smoothing wrinkles, as well as eliminating discolorations, scars and stretch marks.

How does it work?

This laser works by breaking the laser beam into smaller ones, which are evenly distributed over the skin at a depth of 2-3 mm. Irradiation causes microdamage, stimulating the cells of the epidermis and dermis for rapid regeneration. They can be used on the face (along with the eye area), neck, cleavage, hands, stomach and back.

Treatments performed with the fractional CO2 laser are completely safe and their effects are long-lasting. They can be performed from September, but in the summer the skin must be prepared by applying preparations with acids or retinol at night.

Course

During the first visit to the Medical Clinic Podhale Art, the doctor of aesthetic medicine talks to the Patient and provides him with all the necessary information about the procedure as well as pre- and post-treatment recommendations.Expectations regarding the final effects are also discussed.

Before the procedure, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, after which the doctor sets the optimal parameters of the device and starts irradiation. Microscopic beams of laser light penetrate 25% of the skin surface (2-3 mm deep). This results in the creation of a network of microdamages, stimulating the processes of collagen regeneration and reconstruction by healthy tissues.

Irradiation can cause an unpleasant tingling sensation, and thus discomfort, so you can apply an anesthetic ointment to the skin and cool it with a special apparatus during the procedure. Then unpleasant sensations are minimized.

After treatment

A few days after irradiation with the CO2 laser, the skin is usually red, swollen, tense and dry. Some people experience a slight burning sensation or itching. In the healing process, the skin generally turns brown and the epidermis peels off. Convalescence lasts about 7 days, depending on the preparation used. During this time, you must strictly follow all your doctor’s instructions.

The most important thing is proper skin care, i.e. the use of moisturizing creams for the day with a filter – SPF min. 30. You can’t do scrubs or anything else that accelerates exfoliation of the epidermis. Hot baths, alcohol, swimming pools and saunas should be avoided during healing. Mineral makeup can be applied 48 hours after the procedure.

Effects

After the CO2 fractional laser treatment, the effects appear gradually – we will see the final effects after about 4 weeks. Visible improvement is observed after just one exposure, but for the best results, it is worth performing a series of 2-4 treatments. At Medical Clinic Podhale Art, the duration of therapy is determined individually, based on the needs and expectations of each patient.

Treatment with the CO2 fractional laser allows you to achieve the following effects:

  • improvement of the condition, skin rejuvenation and smoothing
