Medical peels (dermopoels / chemoexfoliation) are based on the use of medical substances, which results in an in-depth exfoliation of the epidermis. It is a remedy for skin imperfections, such as unsightly acne scars, discoloration, blackheads or dry, flaky skin. Their action is based, in particular, on controlled damage to the outer layer of the skin. The effect is exfoliation of the epidermis, and the final result – regeneration, rejuvenating and improving the color and condition of the skin.

They can be performed even in patients with very sensitive skin. We currently use Mesoestetic cosmetics, including peelings based on pure or mixed acids, such as:

• lactic acid,
• almond,
• pyruvic,
• salicylic acid.

Lactic acid peeling is recommended even for people with sensitive skin, especially for sun discoloration. It moisturizes and helps maintain the proper pH of the skin.

The main advantage of almond acid peeling is its gentle action, which makes it recommended for people whose skin is intolerant to other acids. It stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin and activates the process of cell regeneration. It reduces and regulates the secretion of sebum, unblocking clogged pores. Thanks to this, it reduces acne lesions, eliminates blackheads and improves skin tone.

Pyruvic acid peeling is recommended for people suffering from acne-papular comedones because it works deeply. It causes a strong exfoliation of the epidermis, lasting from a week to 10 days. During this time, the secretion of sebum decreases, the level of sebum is reduced, but at the same time, what is important, the level of skin hydration does not decrease.

Peeling with salicylic acid is recommended for people with heavily contaminated skin (blackheads, folliculitis, inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne) and discolored skin (spots, freckles). Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it speeds up the healing of blemishes and irritations while cleansing the pores.

Peeling with azelaic acid is recommended for people with sensitive skin and acne lesions, as well as those with atopic skin, prone to erythema, with a tendency to inflammation of the hair follicles and with shallow vascularization.
