Fibrin I-PRF (Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin) is a treatment intended for people who value natural products, as well as suffering from various types of allergies. This is the latest discovery in aesthetic medicine that allows for natural, long-lasting stimulation of skin cells to renew. Fibrin, like plasma, is obtained from your own blood. It is used in the treatment of many diseases, incl. orthopedics, as well as in aesthetic medicine – it is used for tissue regeneration, because it has the ability to stimulate the repair processes that naturally occur in our body.

It can be said that platelet-rich fibrin has a double effect. Wrinkle reduction is an immediate effect, while cell stimulation is a long-term effect, which is possible thanks to the platelets located between the fibrin fibers. Aesthetic medicine treatments with the use of fibrin can be divided into three stages:

• Stage 1. An experienced doctor of aesthetic medicine takes a small amount of blood (10–20 ml) from a vein in the patient’s elbow flexion.
• Stage 2. The blood is then centrifuged to obtain the desired fraction.
• Stage 3. The last stage is a delicate injection (puncture) of the skin with administration of the preparation.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs cannot be used for several days before the procedure and about a week after. After the treatment, you must follow the recommendations of your doctor or cosmetologist, for some time you should stop using the swimming pool, sauna, sports, sunbathing and hot baths, so that the skin has time to regenerate.

The contraindications for the procedure include:

• blood diseases such as critical thrombocytopenia, hemodynamic instability, fibrinogen deficiency,
• acute liver diseases (cirrhosis, hepatitis),
• neoplastic diseases, leukemia, myelomas,
• treatment with anticoagulants,
• pregnancy and lactation.
